Shrubby Orache Atriplex halimus
Native along coasts of the Mediterranean and southwards to West and Northeastern Africa. Flowers August to September. A perennial shrub, growing to around two metres in height, the whole plant silvery in appearance and covered in whitish scales. The rough, disc-like fruiting bracteoles are distinctive.
