Annual Sea-heath Frankenia pulverulentaNative in the Canary Islands and throughout much of southern Europe, northern Africa, the Middle East and into Central Asia. An annual plant of dry places. Stems prostrate, leaves more or less flat or only slightly recurved, broadest above the middle; flowers in short terminal cymes.

Native throughout the Mediterranean Region eastwards to the Arabian Peninsula and Central Asia. A perennial species of coastal sands and rocks, with stout, bristly hairs on the flower buds and hairy stems.
