Leadwort Family - Plumbaginaceae
Winged Sea-lavender Limonium lobatum(Limonium thouinii) Native to the Canary Islands and southern Mediterranean Region, eastwards to Iran. The commonest Sea-lavender species on Fuerteventura, scattered widely in open and lightly disturbed ground.

Sinuate Statice Limonium sinuatum
Native throughout the Mediterranean region, including the Canary Islands. Found on stoney ground but may also occur as a garden escape in urban areas.

Bourgeau's Sea-lavender Limonium bourgeaui
Native and endemic to Fuerteventura and Lanzarote. Rare and known in the wild from only a single location on Fuerteventura, but sometimes seen being grown as a garden plant. Leaves pubescent, sinuate and long-petiolate at the base. Flower scapes winged in their upper part.

Native to South and South-east Africa. Commonly grown as a garden and amenity plant in warmer parts of the world, including throughout the Mediterranean Region. In Fuerteventura, commonly used as a larval food plant by Lang's Short-tailed Blue.
